Northway crash begets more crashes

From the New York State Police, Troop G, out of Latham: On Aug. 27, State Police responded to the report of a crash between Interstate-87 Northway exits 11 and 12, northbound, in Malta. The investigation determined that a northbound vehicle struck an unoccupied delineator truck parked on the right shoulder. The work zone was not active at the time of the crash.

The driver sustained serious injuries during the crash and was transported to Albany Medical Center where they remain in critical condition. Following the initial crash, multiple northbound vehicles struck debris causing two additional crashes. No injuries were reported during those secondary collisions.

All northbound lanes of I-87 were closed between exits 11 and 12 for the ongoing investigation and collision reconstruction. The lanes were reopened at approximately 5:30 a.m.

Barber to the Spa’s top jockeys toasts new home in Saratoga

Saratoga Barber Club owner Dylan Capone toasting its first month in Saratoga.

As far as new neighbors go, Saratoga Barber Club couldn’t get any better. Everyone there is hard-working, sweet and family-oriented. Owner Dylan Capone has great taste in music — but with a closing time of 7 p.m., on the off chance a door is left open to welcome new folks in during business hours, the tunes end at sundown.

Capone added, “And a huge shout-out for everybody showing up. today”

In attendance to congratulate Capone:
