Barber to the Spa’s top jockeys toasts new home in Saratoga

Saratoga Barber Club celebrates its expansion downtown. Here’s who stopped in for a cut.

As far as new neighbors go, Saratoga Barber Club couldn’t get any better. Everyone there is hard-working, sweet and family-oriented. Owner Dylan Capone has great taste in music — but with a closing time of 7 p.m., on the off chance a door is left open to welcome new folks in during business hours, the tunes end at sundown.

It’s quite different than what us downtowners are used to, just one block from Caroline Street. So the Dispatch — Steve Thurston and myself — decided to co-host a little “Welcome to the Neighborhood” party. (The original location, for those who think it sounds familiar, is in Ballston Spa.)

“We’re very, very excited about being here in Saratoga,” said co-owner Ralf Rispo, leading a Champagne toast in front of the shop’s storefront at 48 Henry St. He thanked partners Gil Nunez and Capone, who’s leading the Saratoga location. Capone added, “And a huge shout-out for everybody showing up. today”
