Letters to short-term rental owners coming in Saratoga Springs
“You’re on our radar." — Saratoga Springs Commissioner of Accounts Dillon Moran
Beginning today or early next week, about 1,300 home owners will receive letters from the Saratoga Springs Accounts Office informing them that they will need to purchase a short-term rental license to rent their home or investment property, as it appears that they are renting their properties.
The letters come as the city prepares to open a portal on its website that will allow people to register and purchase the annual license online. The beta version of the portal is being tested now and will be available in a matter of days, Saratoga Springs Commissioner of Account Dillon Moran said in a recent interview.
The letters are also a way for the City of Saratoga Springs to say: “You’re on our radar,” Moran said. “We see that you’re involved in the market.”
