A weekend off for 🙋♀️ Mom — or 🙋♂️ Dad
High Peaks Resort has you (both) covered. {dedicated}

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day land back-to-back every year, and honoring both with equal fanfare is genuinely hard. We can’t move the calendar, but we’ve found the next best thing: a double-gift that makes both parents happy.
High Peaks Resort in the Adirondacks is the perfect getaway — for Mom, Dad or the whole fam. Send Mom there for a spa weekend with her girlfriends and Dad to play golf — or Mom there to play golf and Dad to chill out in nature.
Or gift them a joint gift of a planned weekend away for the whole fam!

🚴♀️ Other options: Spring Activity Guide
If golf doesn’t pique (“Peak?”) your interest, the resort has multiple other tricks up its well-lined fleece sleeves.
Fat tire biking
You haven’t gone fat tire biking until you’ve hit the Adirondack trails in the Spring and Summer. The wide, low-pressure tires can handle the soft, uneven trails. If you don’t have your own gear, High Peaks Cyclery offers rentals.
Hiking and outdoor exploration
You’ve got a 6-million-acre park in your backyard! Go and check it out. At the lower elevations, all of the flowers pop up first, along trails, bogs and forest paths. Gentle lakeside trails are also on tap, with great views of Spring and early Summer bird migration to take in. Talk to the concierge about a guided experience if you want someone to lead the way.
If you’re looking for a light challenge, hit the Brewster Peninsula Nature Trails, four connected paths across a 133-acre peninsula that extends into Lake Placid. It’s just minutes away from the Resort.
Peep the birds
Spring birdwatching is world-class in the Adirondacks. High Peaks can help advise you on guides to contact (Ed Kanze is always a pro), or you can head out on your own to Bloomingdale Bog, where Canada Jays are known to eat from visitor’s hands.
Riverwalk, forest bath
If you really need to relax, consider hitting Adirondack Forest Bathing, where you’ll be led by guides through sensory walks that ground your thoughts and ensure you fully experience the forest’s glory.
Make candles
Pure Placid offers incredible self-guided and instructor-led candlemaking classes that are low-key, genuinely fun and give you a pretty memento to take home with you.
Hit the spa
You’ve hit the trails, now treat your aching feet to some TLC at Adirondack Foot Sanctuary. There are curative foot soaks, lower-leg and foot massages, facial, and nail services, with artisan tea and a relaxed atmosphere.
