Holiday princess magic
Let’s be honest — the holidays can be stressful for families, with so much to juggle and so little time to breathe. That’s why the Holiday Inn Resort on Lake George is offering families a chance to slow down, unwind, and even enjoy an overnight stay away from all the stress at home.
Enter the Together at Christmas holiday princess show, which will have two performances (2:30 and 4:15 p.m.) Dec. 6 and feature four beloved princesses: the Snow Sisters, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. (Pre-show “coronation upgrades” are also available.) And for families hoping to extend the magic, the resort has created packed-with-activities overnight stays available on Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6. The $375 package for up to four guests includes hotel accommodations, a visit with Santa, hot cocoa and crafts with the princesses, breakfast with Snow White, and a private holiday show. (Each additional guest is $50.)
For overnight reservations, call 518-668-5781 or visit holidayinnlakegeorge.com (enter group code POE). For general admission and VIP show tickets, visit Together at Christmas: A Holiday Princess Show.
Tommy Lee promises Saratoga ‘insanity,’ calls Mark Mulholland ‘coolest’
Motley Crue is returning to SPAC, and Channel 13’s Mark Mulholland scored an interview with the hair metal band’s infamous drummer, Tommy Lee. Pamela Anderson’s ex promised that the July 29 concert would be, “complete insanity. We created a monster.” And the interview question that got Lee to gush, “That might be the coolest question anybody’s ever asked”? After chatting about the band’s “Carnival of Sins” tour promising all the greatest hits, Mulholland asked, “Of all those hits, what song can’t you stand?”
And it got him a new rockstar fan.
Market 32/Price Chopper’s spirit of giving
Market 32/Price Chopper has pledged $630,000 to support Latham’s Regional Food Bank, according to Channel 10. The two-year agreement includes aid such as fundraising and food donations, says the outlet, including “serving as the Presenting Sponsor of the food bank’s Thanksgiving Distribution, supporting the annual Holiday Hunger Appeal, and funding school pantries across the Capital Region.”
Inside 2025’s Victorian Street Walk
Who’s lighting the tree? Who’s leading the parade? All the details!
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY — Saratoga has been called the “most festive in the USA” over the years for good reason — and next Thursday, Dec. 4 it will all be on full display for Saratoga Springs Downtown Business Association’s Victorian Street Walk. Downtown will transform into a winter wonderland at 6 p.m. with a traditional tree-lighting ceremony, featuring Make-A-Wish children and their families. The 27-foot Balsam is sure to be a sight to behold, towering above the city and beautifully adorned with flowers by Saratoga Springs’ own fabulous florist, Samantha Nass.
Following the lighting, Saratoga Springs Cheerleaders and dancers from The Dance Lab will lead Santa in a parade full of pointed toes and graceful turns. Then be sure to visit Santa in his cottage before the event wraps up at 9.
Broadway will come alive with holiday cheer at every turn. More than 25 sites offering free performances and productions include pop-ups from local food vendors such as Adirondack Kettle Corn and Maple Valley Farms Cotton Candy. I’d also suggest heading over to Saratoga Candy Co. to try to talk to Noel the Spokes Pig and snatch up one of their famous Peppermint Pigs.
Performance is a large part of the Victorian Street walk; this year’s highlights include a local Saratoga Springs High School band, the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Choir, Acadia Rae performing with her hula hoop, and balloon artist Mr. Twisty.
This 39th annual event is about bringing the Saratoga community together through food, festivities, and a little bit of holiday magic. To give back to the community that makes this celebration possible, there are also opportunities to learn about and support local charities. The Witch Walkers of SOSA will be performing and are well known for donating to causes that support animals. Toys for Toga will be featured at G. Willikers. Celebrating its 13th annual holiday toy drive, Toys for Toga has helped more than 1,500 local children each year.
Adding to the enchantment, one of the most magical parts of the Victorian Street Walk is the live dancers in the storefront windows. They move like the most perfect dolls, bringing each display to life with graceful spins and elegant poses. Visitors of all ages can’t help but be mesmerized, and their presence makes the streets feel alive with holiday spirit. Combined with the festive music, delicious treats, dazzling lights, talented performers, and heartwarming charitable efforts, the Victorian Street Walk is a must-see celebration that perfectly captures the magic of the season.
